The J range was the baby of the Lambretta models, and was primarily designed for ladies, being lightweight and using smaller stretch levers. One piece monocoque frame work went away from the more traditional tubular frame.

Identification details
Version I 1964 9-inch wheels, wide leg-shield with no rubber edge trim, aluminium kick-start pedal, part below tail-light smooth, front fork with screw fitting for the dampers.
Version II 1965 – mid-1966 9-inch wheels, wide leg-shield with rubber edge trim, chromed metal kick-start lever, front fork with press-in dampers. Part below the tail-light stamped and carrying J50 script (from March 1966). Simplified side-panel clasps without cog (from January 1966).
Version III mid-1966 – 1967 (official denomination “Model ’66”) New 125 4m-type frame with narrower leg-shield, 9-inch wheels, longer saddle frame, part below the tail-light stamped and carrying J50 script, engine Silent Blocs reinforced.
